Lausanne Tea Specialist

General Information

According to a survey, coffee trade is far greater than tea trade. This data is rather misleading because there is actually more people drinking tea than coffee, mainly from Asian countries like China and Thailand. After our team of experts created the Coffee Barista International Certification, we had a discussion on why tea is so popular. To find out, our team members went off to visit England, Singapore, Thailand, and China and the results were uncanny. We were surprised by the vast tea varieties, far more numerous than coffee. Besides the health benefits, tea is refreshing, soothing and easy to brew. We finally decided to add tea as part of our Lausanne Project and hired a tea specialist to create our tea examination.

For our Tea Certification, we created an exam that covers all the fundamental knowledge a tea specialist should know. We believe a good tea specialist should have all the comprehensive knowledge of managing a tea set while adhering to proper hygiene plus the appreciation to the art of tea drinking.

We are confident that the Lausanne Boutique Tea Specialist Certificate will become the authority of the hospitality industry.
